The live map#
The map shows where each technician last reported from, updated as they move.
Route history is off by default. Turn it on and the map draws where a technician actually went rather than where they were supposed to go, which turns an argument about a missed window into a question you can answer. Trails are kept for 30 days in this version, measured from a timestamp the server sets.
Location is only ever recorded between "on my way" and "arrived", and only with that technician's own recorded consent. Nothing is recorded on Finish.
Arrival stamps are not route history. Two stamps are recorded per visit, on the way and on arrival. They are the record that answers "was somebody actually there, and when?" - a question a customer can ask months later - so they outlive the 30-day window and they survive turning route history off.
